Dino square quilt

Image
For Project Linus, I occasionally just sandwich some finished quilt tops and backings together. One of those quilt tops caught my interest. I recreated this pattern, which is made up of nine large squares, with rectangular borders and smaller squares between them.  For the large squares, I found two dinosaur-themed fabrics and an elephant fabric in my stash. The rectangles were made out of orange/red and teal fabrics. The backing was patched together with some leftover fabric from the top. The finished size was 100cm by 110cm (39" by 43"). Donated to Project Linus in July 2022.

Leftover triangle quilt

The two heart quilts I recently finished ( #1 and #2  ) came with a quite few cutoffs from the heart corners. I’ve sewn those cutoffs together into strips and added alternateing strips of the two solid background fabrics in between. It is not the most exciting quilt, but I found it very satisfying that all fabric got used up instead of being thrown out.  The background fabric is a dark teal with cute insects on it. I have not measured this quilt, but is was a tiny one. Donated to project Linus in June 2022.
