Stained glass window test quilt

I set myself a New Year’s resolution! Make a quilt for my son. He sees me making all those baby and children’s quilts for project Linus, and he is sometimes asking me: when do I get my quillt? My son is turning 12 in June, so I thought I research and test a pattern before I dive in to make his 12th birthday quilt.

The pattern I chose is the stained glass window quilt from quiltylove. I make this test baby size quilt up with a white background, light grey diamonds and bright primary colour solid gems (the „windows“).

I really love this bright, happy version, but for my 12yo (almost teenage) son, it will be blues and greens. Spoiler: I did not manage to finish the quilt for his big day, but had started a couple of panels for him, so he got a little peek of what it will look like.

Final size was 90cm x 120 cm, 36” by 48”. Will be donated to project Linus hopefully in August  2025.
