Appliqué heart quilt

I took on this quilt at a Project Linus meeting. More strips than required were already cut up and a few hearts cut out. I did the appliqué first, just the pink hearts on the white background. Next, I randomly chose the fabric strips I liked most and arranged them in the log-cabin style pattern. I ended up with 4 by six squares, and added a white border.

The background was a nice batik fabrics,, which I also used for the binding. Final size 102 cm by 122 cm (40” by 48”). The quilt was dontated to Project Linus in November 2022.
