Little red riding hood granny square quilt

This quilt was made up based on this free tutorial. I used 12 strips of a fairy tale themed jelly roll with white background fabric to create the granny square quilt. I love how the blocks come together, it’s a great project if you only have some time here and there.

To get the size requirements right, I only made 12 blocks. Each block is 9“ before sewing and 8.5“ after sewing. I used 3“ strips (finished width 2 1/2“) in between squares. I used a donated fabric From Project Linus for the backing and a cherry red binding. I quilted around the blocks as well as a smaller square inside the block. Final size is  90cm by 118 cm (36“ by 46“).
