Icy poles and hearts

What better way of finishing off some more stash fabric than foundation piecing. I used this pattern before, when I sewed up this tote bag for a friend. The icy poles are too cute, so I thought I do those and combine them with some solid patches. These patches ended up having little heart in it. Anyway. Foundation Piecing…forgot how messy and wasteful it can be. It was a big act of Labour, and not always enjoyable. Will I do it on that scale again? Rather not, the tote bag was the perfect project size for this pattern!

I used the same solid colours for the backing with the Aqua as the binding. Simple rectangular quilting in the ditch. Final dimensions 87cm x 115 cm (34” by 45”). Donated to project Linus QLD chapter in November 2021.
